Each of the district's communes offers numerous bike paths of different levels of difficulty, which lead the visitors across the most interesting parts of the region. Committed anglers will be delighted to find fish ponds hidden in the woods. History lovers will also find something interesting for them. Plentiful evidence, in the form of sacral buildings, castles, mannor houses and mansions, testifies to the county's old-time glory. Among others, it is worth visiting the ruines of the castle in Lipowiec and the Yistula River Ethnographic Park situated at the foot of the castle hill. Also the Sanctuary in Płonki, the Baroąue Monastery of the Bernardine Fathers in Alwernia, and historical village churches scattered all over the county, arę a must to see. On rainy days, one can enjoy a visit to the museums or listen to a concert in the Zieleniewski Mansion. While relaxing in Chrzanów District, one may already plan trips to Auschwitz, Kraków and the nearby Wadowice.

   Yet, Chrzanów District does not only mean buildings, investments or monuments, but above all, people and their traditions - kept cautiously and passed on from generation to generation. The District is one of the most significant centres of folk culture in the region. The singing and story-telling groups, and the Yillage Housewives Associations are indisputable attractions at regional and countrywide folk festivals. Chrzanów County regularly holds numerous cultural events. In addition to celebrations organised as part of the Towns and Yillages Days Festival, the Yistula River Etnographic Park in Wygiełzów holds an annual Chamber and Organ Music Festival and the Regional Cuisine Contest. Every year the region organizes: the beauty contest for the Miss of Chrzanów, New Year under the Stars, the District Wedding Song Festival and the Alwernia Shooting - a church fair at the Monastery of the Bernardine Fathers in Alwernia, so called for its mortar shooting tradition.
